Biography
Prof Shankar Siva is an international expert in stereotactic radiotherapy, whose dedicated work in cancer treatment has earned him recognition among the world’s leading specialists in the field. He is a long serving board director of the International Radiosurgery Society (formerly known as the CyberKnife Society). He is a pioneer in precision radiation therapy and stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) techniques. He has undertaken specialised training with CyberKnife in the USA, Switzerland, France and Germany.
Prof Siva is widely published, with over 350 peer-reviewed manuscripts and more than 20 awards for research. He regularly teaches specialists around the world in best-practice stereotactic radiotherapy techniques. He uses his extensive research experience to enable state-of-the-art treatment techniques for his patients.
Prof Siva’s research has been recognised globally. He is consistently ranked among the top 10 radiation oncology researchers worldwide by Expertscape, by scholarGPS, and is named in Stanford University’s Top 2% of global scientists. These independent platforms assess global academic impact based on volume and influence of peer-reviewed publications. ¹
