Biography
Dr Patrick Bowden is a senior Radiation Oncologist with over 25 years’ experience. After beginning his career at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, he became the Director of Radiation Oncology at the Epworth Hospital. His clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies, with a special interest in prostate and metastatic cancers.
Dr Bowden has been active in numerous clinical trials and acted as principal investigator on key studies investigating radiation therapy treatments for prostate cancers, with a focus on advanced and stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT) techniques. He led landmark clinical trials including TRANSFORM and PINPOINT, significantly advancing prostate cancer care. He is Chairman of Access Telehealth and has held several leadership and governance roles.
