Biography
Dr Maitham Mathlum is a highly experienced Radiation Oncologist with a clinical focus on advanced radiation therapy technologies. After graduating in medicine, he completed training in New Zealand and became a FRANZCR Fellow in 2007.
Dr Mathlum has been principal investigator in numerous international and Trans-Tasman trials and collaborates with RMIT University on nanoparticle research. He worked as Director of Training for RANZCR for 15 years and is an active member of several leading cancer trial groups.
Dr Mathlum has a great experience in most advanced radiotherapy technologies, including IMRT, VMAT, Stereotactic radiotherapy, and Cyberknife radiotherapy.
Dr Mathlum’s clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies, with special clinical interest in head and neck, breast, prostate, gastrointestinal, lung and skin cancers. His calm, compassionate approach makes him a trusted partner for patients.
